The Department of General Services – Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is committed, alongside DCPS, to provide learning and working environments that are free of potential air hazards, and to promptly investigate complaints that may be related to poor indoor air quality (IAQ). IAQ is air in which there are no known contaminants at harmful concentrations as determined by the District of Columbia Department of Environment (DDOE), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
